ほとんどのエンタープライズスイッチでは、変更を行って変更を有効にするという2つの手順でゾーニングを変更できます。  変更を有効にすると原因 が停止する可能性があります 

ゾーニング・データベースの変更を有効にすると'スイッチは変更されたゾーン内の各ポート/WWNのゾーン・テーブルを再構築しますスイッチは、変更の影響を受けたすべてのデバイスにRSCNを送信します。  変更されていないゾーン内のデバイスは影響を受けません。  ホストHBAがこのRSCNとどのように反応するかによって、ホストが影響を受けるかどうかが判断されます。
