  • クラスタインターコネクトスイッチは、 ONTAP の新しいリリースにアップグレードする前にアップグレードする必要があります。

  • スイッチのアップグレードでは、次の 2 つのコンポーネントを考慮する必要があります。
    • スイッチの OS ( FastPath )および
    • リファレンス構成ファイル( RCF )。

  • どちらも、インストールされている ONTAP のバージョンと互換性がある必要があります。 ONTAP が以前のバージョン( ONTAP 8.2.4 または FastPath 1.2.07 より前)では、スイッチがアップグレードされる前に、サポートされている構成を維持するために複数の手順が必要になる場合があります。サポートされていませんが、以前のバージョンの FastPath または RCF では、変更がほとんどないため、新しいバージョンの ONTAP が正常に機能することが確認されています。

  • RCF は、クラスタスイッチとして機能するために必要なスイッチインターフェイスの基本的な設定用テンプレートであり、サービスポート、 DNS 、 SNMP などの追加機能は含まれていません。これらの変更は手動で設定する必要があります。スイッチをリブートする前に、「 write memory 」を実行して、リブート時に手動設定が維持されるようにする必要があります。新しいバージョンの RCF が必要な場合は、追加の手動設定が必要な場合があります。

  • 一度にアップグレードするスイッチは 1 つだけなので、クラスタスイッチのアップグレード時にシステムを停止する必要はありません。ただし、予防措置を追加する必要があります。簡単に言うと、スイッチのアップグレードを実行する前に、次の作業を行います。
    • スイッチのリブート中に影響しないポートにノードクラスタ LIF を移行する必要があります。
    • (アップグレード対象のスイッチに接続された)ノードクラスタポートをシャットダウンする必要があります。
    • スイッチ間リンク( ISL )をシャットダウンする必要があります。
    • 最初のスイッチがリロードされると、システムは正常に復元され、 2 番目のスイッチがアップグレードされるまで上記の手順が繰り返されます。
