Cluster LIFs are not visible in network interface show output after a headswap controller upgrade in ONTAP 9

Issue

  • A headswap controller upgrade is performed and the new node is booted
  • however the cluster LIFs are not present in 'network interface show' output and the node is unable to communicate with the cluster.
