SCV 5.0（P1）でSVMを追加しようとして予期しない文字が発生しました

SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware（SCV）5.0以降

問題

SCVを4.9（P1）から5.0にアップグレードしたあと、いずれのSVMもバックアップ対象として表示されなくなり、プライマリSVMを再度追加しようとすると次のエラーが表示されます。
 
Error occured while adding storage system. Failed to add/update storage system information: Failed to connect to storage system <SVM_FQDN>.Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: <. Path '', line 0, position 0.
