10095 Use of VMFS extents on VMware is not recommended.
Rather than adding another volume as an extent to an existing VMFS datastore to increase capacity, it is recommended to perform a DVE operation
 on the existing backing volume and grow the VMFS datastore.
 
上記の「IMTノート」について-これはハードルールで [1] はありませんが、複数のエクステントではなく、VMFSボリューム内で単一のLUNを使用することを推奨するVMwareのベストプラクティスに基づく推奨事項です。
