VMwareで16TBを超えるファイルの作成に失敗する

環境

• ONTAP 9.12.1P2以降
• NFS
• VMware vSphere 8 / ESXi

問題

• VMware データストア上に 16TB を超える VMDK ファイルを作成しようとすると、次のエラーが発生します：

Failed to create virtual disk: The destination file system does not support large files (12).

• 既存のVMDK容量を16TB以上に拡張した結果：

The capacity exceeds the maximum virtual disk size for the datastore
