7-Mode システムでは、 ifconfig の出力に特定のポートについて「該当するインターフェイスがない」と表示されます。
例：
 
Node> ifconfig e0c
ifconfig: e0c: no such interface
 
Node> ifconfig e0d
ifconfig: e0d: no such interface
